These are residential courses held at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra. FFA Advanced Coaching Courses are approved by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

B Licence Application Form 2009
The Intermediate Coaching General Principles course is a pre-requisite for entry into the B Licence Course. This is a preparatory course conducted via state and territory departments of sport and recreation. Some offer face-to-face programs, while others offer the modules via correspondence.

The A Licence is completed in 2 two-week parts. Coaches complete Part 1, then Part 2 the following year. Do not apply for a Part 2 course unless you have completed Part 1 through FFA.

A: By attending an update refresher course. These will be conducted by FFA in each State. Dates for upcoming refresher courses will be sent to coaches via e-newsletter and published on this webpage. Please ensure your contact details are up-to-date. Click here to check your details.

Send your CV to a State Football Federation and they will keep your details on file until something comes up. You can also check the Coaching Opportunities page.
Q: Where can I buy FFA-approved Coaching Books?

'Coaching Grassroots Football' by Kelly Cross, can be obtained only by attending the Coaching Grassroots Football Certificate Course.
